John G. Wagner, EdS, LPES
John G. Wagner is a State of SC Licensed Psychoeducational Specialist and SC Board of Education Certified School Psychologist II. He holds a BA in Psychology from Denison University and an MA in Psychology and EdS in School Psychology from The Citadel: College of Graduate and Professional Studies.
Mr. Wagner has over 30 years experience working with children, adolescents, and families around emotional, behavioral, and/or educational needs. Professional experience includes working with clients in residential, clinical, and school settings. He worked as a school psychologist in public schools in Charleston, SC and Asheville, NC. After earning his LPES, he worked as the Director of Psychoeducational Assessment for LifeManagement Center, Inc for 11 years, where he provided assessments, emotional and behavioral consultations, and school psychology services for students and adults in private and public school settings in the Charleston area. Mr. Wagner opened Coastal Education Consulting in 2017. He currently provides school psychology services for many of the local charter schools. Additional services are also provided to Windwood Farm Home for Children in Awendaw, SC and Student Athlete Academic Services at the College of Charleston.
Areas of interest and expertise include ADHD, learning and behavioral differences among children, adolescents, and adults, anxiety, behavioral/emotional interventions and supports for students, testing and evaluation procedures for intellectual ability, academic achievement, and behavioral issues, and service coordination in schools. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, the beach, rugby (coaching), biking, and working on projects around the house.
